Annual Meeting 2006

Building the Movement: It’s Our Time

In a show of record-breaking attendance, advocates and members of the mental health community from across the nation gathered at Mental Health America’s Annual Meeting, June 7-10, in Washington, D.C., to focus on improving the health of all Americans, and expanding the reach and power of the nation's mental health movement.

Under the theme “Building the Movement,” headliners such as former first lady Rosalynn Carter, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and Rep. Patrick Kennedy gave rousing talks that left us energized and informed for our work in the year ahead.
